Commentary:
The BMP (BAM Model Portfolio) short term and intermediate term forecast appears here.
Please remember that markets can move against the model at any point and that it’s very important to avoid excessive leverage when trading/investing in these 2x / 3x ETF /ETN names.
Intraday trade entry and exit is posted in a messaging box at the right-hand margin of your product page. The message box is titled:

The BMP will consist of specific ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) and those ETFs will be selected based on the BAM Model’s directional predictions covering global macro markets.
These “global macro markets” will allow us to attempt to pinpoint the most promising opportunities within stock, currencies, and commodities and although we’ll never “sell short” actual shares of an ETF, we will, at times, choose ETFs that are structured to benefit from falling prices. In other words, we will be using select ETFs such as Ultra-short ETFs that are structured to increase in value as the underlying index, currency, or commodity decreases in value.
We want to remind you that we’ll be allocating no more than 2-20% of our “Master Portfolio” dollars to reside in the BMP (BAM Model Portfolio). We find that this approach is warranted (and necessary) due to the extraordinarily volatile nature of the ETFs within the BMP. The BMP, for instance, has been known to see individual components move 10% or more in a single session.
In other words, if our Master Portfolio is valued at $100,000.00, we would allocate no more than $2,000.00 to $20,000.00 toward the entire BMP. The remainder of our Master Portfolio would then be allocated in either an S&P 500 Index fund (when the BAM Model is bullish) or in cash (when the BAM Model is bearish).
Here’s an example of a 90/10 allocation with respect to our Master Portfolio:
During a BULL MARKET the BAM Investor Portfolio would look like this:
- 90% of Master Portfolio dollars will reside in an S&P 500 Index Fund or the SPY (the SPY is an ETF that tracks the S&P 500 Index)
- 10% of Master Portfolio will reside in the BMP (BAM Model Portfolio) designated ETF positions. (The BMP is dynamic and will change from time to time based on predictions)
During a BEAR MARKET the BAM Investor Portfolio would look like this:
- 90% of Master Portfolio dollars will reside in cash (self-directed US T-bills)
- 10% of Master Portfolio will reside in the BMP (BAM Model Portfolio) designated ETF positions. (The BMP is dynamic and will change from time to time based on predictions)
Welcome aboard and thank you for joining us!
We want to remind you that we allocate no more than 2-20% of our “Master Portfolio” dollars to reside in the BMP (BAM Model Portfolio).
In other words, if our Master Portfolio is valued at $1,000,000.00, we allocate no more than $20,000.00 to $200,000.00 to reside in the BMP with the remainder residing in either an S&P 500 Index fund (when the BAM Model is bullish) or in cash or T-bills (when the BAM Model is bearish).
*Our 90/10 portfolio strategy will remain intact throughout the 2015-2017 period as we focus on preservation of capital as opposed to return on capital. It is our opinion (based on the Behavioral Analysis Model) that global markets will experience systemic shocks.
